Philosophy & Approach

I want you to know that I truly understand the courage it takes to seek support. My own journey of growth and healing has profoundly shaped who I am—both as a person and as a therapist. Over the years, through formal education, my own personal therapy, and more than 20 years of working with clients, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the importance of being supported as you navigate life’s challenges.

I believe that healing begins when we recognize that feelings like anxiety, overwhelm, exhaustion, or being stuck are natural responses to life’s difficulties. These patterns, often rooted in our nervous system, may have protected us at one time but can later leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves and the lives we want to live. This disconnection can make it hard to experience the joy, creativity, and clarity we long for.

The good news? These stuck places aren’t permanent. With the right care, attention, and support, you can reconnect with your true Self—the part of you that is resilient, compassionate, and capable of incredible growth.

In our work together, we’ll take a gentle and curious approach to understanding your experiences and the stories you carry. As we do, you’ll start to release the weight of old patterns and beliefs, creating space for freedom, peace, and possibility. Many people describe this process as a kind of homecoming—rediscovering who they truly are—and it’s an incredibly empowering experience.

I like to consider myself a "hope merchant" as we walk together on your wellness journey. Clients often tell me I bring warmth, grounding, and a sense of connection into our work together. While therapy is deeply meaningful, I also believe there’s room for humor and lightness along the way. You are courageous for taking this first step, and I am here to help you create the healing and growth you deserve.
